SACRAL LANDSCAPE OF THE VENICE LAGOON
Introductory stage
Literature and archival documentation researches to determine the current state of knowledge as well as the scope and results of previous archaeological research on the Venetian lagoon.
Stage I
Non-invasive research conducted to create: 1) a digital contour map of a selected area, 2) an orthophotomap of a selected area (using the photogrammetry method), 3) identifying and documenting the architectural structures of churches (using the LIDAR method), 4) detailed identification of the architectural structures of registered churches (geomagnetic research: magnetometer and georadar) of selected areas
Stage II
Verification and preliminary identification of discovered architectural structures using archaeological survey research.
Stage III
Unveiling and examining one selected sacred object as a result of wide-area archaeological excavations.
